Description Allan Day 2013-02-20 13:07:43 UTC
The dash and workspace switcher already slide in and out depending on the mode inside the overview. It would be consistent if they slid in and out when entering and leaving the overview too. I think it would also enhance the overall experience.

Not sure about that ... we already have enough stuff moving around ... adding more moving elements does not really help.

The slide effect is fast enough not to be too distracting, and the animation will add to the smooth and dynamic quality of the overview. It's certainly worth trying.

We've always said that we should have one "main transition" that overpowers the rest, so when we close the message tray with a bubble open, we don't fade out bubble, etc.

Cosimo is free to try this out for now, but I don't believe it should be a blocker bug.

Not 3.8.1 material.

Hi Tarun! Sorry for the slow response. I've just tried your patch and it unfortunately doesn't seem to apply. Could you (or someone else) rebase it against master?

Rebased previous patch against master. Haven't tested it. Hope it works :)

Thanks Tarun. I've tried the patch and I have to say that I think it's an improvement.

You'll notice the dash sliding in has been in my mockups since forever. I'm really fond of this.

After the commit, clicking 'Supar+A' is moved to applications picker,
but to moment one the preview of the desktops in appears and disappears.
this isn't need to happen.
