ownCloud accounts offer CalDAV endpoints whose URI is available as the Uri property on the account's org.gnome.OnlineAccounts.Calendar DBus interface. It would be good if Evolution picked up ownCloud accounts.

Aah, I see what Matthew meant with the bug #686529 comment #1, the goa doesn't provide URL of a book or calendar, it provides URL where to search for configured books and calendars, which is quite different thing.

I think, if we want to support this in 3.8, we  might create an initial work for background fetching on WebDAV based servers, and when Matthew will work on his library for this he'll update the code accordingly.

I was planning writing a reusable WebDAV collection backend, which could serve as a base class for the google-backend, yahoo-backend (and presumably owncloud-backend) E-D-S modules.
