Description Jakub Steiner 2012-10-02 14:19:29 UTC
When using multiple displays, the shield correctly falls down on all displays when you lock. However, lifting it up with a mouse raises the shield on all displays concurrently (with some flat color fill when the displays' Y resolution doesn't match).

I think a better approach would be to only do it for the display in question. For the case where the user would start raising the shield on another display while it's up with the login form on another, the other display would get the shield go down, exposing only one system grey form at a time.

Using keyboard (Esc) would raise the shield on the primary display.

I guess we should also make sure that the login screen is available on whatever head the user raises the shield on (which might mean moving it around)
Comment 2 Ray Strode [halfline] 2013-03-03 00:58:46 UTC
I believe this is all fixed now as a side effect of all the background work.
Comment 3 Allan Day 2013-06-20 00:12:35 UTC
It's not fixed here on 3.8.2.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
