Whenever I choose the "extract to" option in the thunar context menu, as soon as file roller opens I get this error: "operation not supported". Once I click "OK" on the error and choose a folder it extracts successfully. It doesn't only happen via thunar either, it can be reproduced in the commandline with the following command:

file-roller --default-dir=$HOME --extract $ARCHIVE.

Comment 1 André Klapper 2012-06-26 14:40:21 UTC
It probably points to a non-existing directory by default.
Comment 2 bwatkins 2012-06-26 15:39:07 UTC
Doesn't the command indicate it should be pointing to home as default? Anyway to tell what it is trying to point to, or change the directory to one that exists?

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release (version 3.6.0). Thank you for your bug report.
