Description Laurent Bigonville 2012-03-30 21:42:40 UTC
From the Debian BTS:

When joining an IRC channel that is protected with a key in Empathy,
the own user name is listed twice in the user list after join.

This is a result of the own name being placed in the channel list before the
key is entered and the real list is retrieved.

The channel list should only be fetched from the server and nor pre-filled
with the own user name before join.

Which version are you using? It works fine here using 3.4.
Comment 2 Laurent Bigonville 2012-04-02 11:56:38 UTC
The user is using 3.2.2 with tp-idle 0.1.11
Comment 3 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-04-02 12:38:25 UTC
The channel contact list model has been rewritten in 3.4 so that's probably fixed.
