GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 667327
lock screen with meta-L, (calls it mod4--windows key) like in windows
Last modified: 2013-04-25 13:58:50 UTC
Is there a reason/history behind the ctrl-alt-L combo for this? Is gnome trying to avoid the meta key?
ubuntu ridiculously (IMHO) renamed auto eth0 from network manager to "Wired connection 1", (annoyingly starting counting with 1) this one seems far more common sense, but perhaps there is a policy against using the meta key in gnome.
Created attachment 241842 [details] [review] media-keys: Change default 'Lock screen' keybinding to be Super+L We're generally trying to move all desktop-wide keybindings to use Super. -- Indeed, we should just do this. It's already mentioned in the wiki https://live.gnome.org/GnomeOS/Design/Whiteboards/KeyboardShortcuts
