Description Robert Ancell 2011-12-19 11:07:54 UTC
Remove statusbar. Move any remaining content (e.g. the clock) into the toolbar
or into the game view.

When removing the statusbar, it'd be great to visually distinguish your lives from your score. Right now it looks as if one life = 10,000 points. I was surprised to learn that they're completely separate numbers.

Nibbles is the only game remaining with a status bar. Let's try to nuke it prior to freeze.

Removing whiteboard; this is a priority for me but not related to the success of GNOME 3.14.

Any ideas how this should look? I can't find the clock we're talking about, but moving the scores/lives labels from the statusbar doesn't seem like something hard to do, I would tackle it if anyone would help with the design.

Not really. :(

The scores could stay right where they are; they're not technically a status bar, they just look like one since it's done so poorly. I think the basic requirements should be (a) no colored text, and (b) better distinguish scores from lives. But we have to use color to show which stats apply to which worm, so maybe we need colored icons for lives and scores? Or we could put the scores in a table in the upper right. Just brainstorming....

P.S. The clock is a copypaste error; this bug was filed for lots of different games.

Closing all the bugs. A major rewrite of the code is landing for 3.20, and there's no point in worrying about bugs in the old version anymore.
