Description Olivier Berger 2011-09-07 19:40:20 UTC
Hi.

I think some strings should be marked as translatable (translatable="yes") in the UI XML file (conduit.ui).

See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=conduit.patch;att=1;bug=640403 for some such proposed changes.

Also, one should make sure they end-up in the .pot file, as, in the tests I've made on trying to repackage such patched sources for Debian, this didn't happen :-/ See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=640403 for more details.

Best regards,

The second part on the presence in the .pot is no longer a problem on current trunk as the POTFILES.in is already correct.

Still, I think that the UI.py changes are still needed (see Debian bug report for my proposed patches).

Oh, and while at it, "Regresh Group" should be corrected to "Refresh Group" in conduit.ui IMHO, before translators make a new round of work.

Is someone working on this bug? If not, I am happy to work on it as my first bug-fixing contribution to the gnome project.

Thanks.

Conduit is not under active development anymore, has not seen code changes for eight years, and saw its last tarball release in 2010.
Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/conduit/commits/master

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
