Description spmannell 2001-11-17 03:01:11 UTC
This may be more of an operator error than a bug, but whenever I try and
pring an email I get the following error:
Balsa could not find font Courier
Printing is not possible
I recently used Red Carpet to upgrade some of the Gnome printing libs to
try and solve a printing problem in Word Perfect, and that was when I
started having problems with Balsa printing. I upgraded to version 1.2
(very cool by the way) and that didn't help. Any info you could give me on
what is going wrong would be appreciated.

I don't think it has anything to to with balsa - I suspect you would
experience same problem when using gnome-print library with any other
program (like printing from gnumeric, using Courier font).

It may be a problem with gnome-print, but everything else I've tried
prints fine, including the latest version of Gnumeric. I tried
upgrading to 1.2.3, but that didn't help

font problem in gnome-print, most likely you are using a screen font
to display the messages and you don't have a correspondant print font
configured in gnome-print.
font stuff in gnome-print is kind of black magik :)

This is definetely fixed in balsa-2.0.x - gnome-print has own font
names incompatible with everything else (or at least, many other things).
