GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 642000
Flashes when changing text size
Last modified: 2011-08-06 23:19:44 UTC
When changing the text size (such as by hitting ctrl-plus or ctrl-minus), gnome-terminal flashes as it redraws. This occurs regardless of whether the terminal uses a black or white background color. Ideally, gnome-terminal should perform the redraw atomically, going directly from the rendering with smaller text to the rendering with larger text. Note that gnome-terminal does not flash when the window size changes, or when clearing the screen, only when changing the text size. Originally reported as http://bugs.debian.org/612704
Same as bug 606655 ? Please also try with latest vte 0.27.x.
(In reply to comment #1) > Same as bug 606655 ? Probably, yes. Didn't find that one when looking for existing bugs. > Please also try with latest vte 0.27.x. I'll see what I can do. Debian experimental seems to have 0.27.4, so I'll try upgrading to that at some point.
Following up on this, it seems fixed with current gnome-terminal and vte.
