Description Jonathan Ernst 2010-10-10 10:08:42 UTC
When you plug in a USB mass storage device with an unnamed partition, nautilus shows the device as something like "8GB filesystem". It would be better, if the device is described in media-player-info file referenced by an udev rule, to show the correct device name.
Comment 1 Martin Pitt 2010-11-10 10:15:33 UTC
Would that need to be fixed in gvfs/gdu?
Comment 2 Cosimo Cecchi 2010-11-10 10:22:34 UTC
-> gvfs

Yes, nautilus gets this name directly from gvfs.
Comment 3 Ondrej Holy 2018-04-13 18:15:32 UTC
Gdu volume monitor has been superseded by udisks2 volume monitor long time ago. I am closing this bug because many have been changed since this was reported. If this is still an issue with the recent gvfs releases, please reopen and change component to udisks2 volume monitor.
