Description Michael Chudobiak 2010-07-05 16:42:18 UTC
Copied from Debian downstream, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=588154

Package: gthumb
Version: 3:2.11.3-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

I just tried to use gthumb to upload photos to facebook with the following
effect/problems:
- the photos were not uploaded to the right album, but to an Album called
  "gthumb photos"

- (the worst problem) all photos that have implicit orientation to portrait
are uploaded without rotation so they show up in landscape in facebook,
while gthumb displays them correctly in portrait.
the facebook plugin has to check for the exif rotation and rotate
  images according to them

- images seem not to be scaled before uploading

I think the problem here was that a newly created catalog was not automatically selected, it is now.
