Description nigel 2010-06-24 13:24:22 UTC
In MS Excel a cell entry can be deleted by mouse clicking on cell (or navigating via keyboard arrow keys to cell) and simply pressing the backspace key.

This shortcut is really handy when editing huge sheets.

In Gnumeric, you have to highlight (mouse click) in the formula entry widget and then press backspace. i.e a two step process.

The [Delete] key seems to do just what you want.
Comment 2 Morten Welinder 2010-06-24 14:47:43 UTC
And now you can use BackSpace as well.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
