Thanks for the patch.

Does anyone know if X-GNOME-FullName is actually supported anywhere yet?  I'm afraid I can't consider applying this patch until I can count on users seeing "Tomboy Notes" in their menus.

X-GNOME-FullName  option is already supported in gedit, cheese, brasero, rhythmbox, orca, fspot and in many other packages..

Sorry Prema, I meant to ask if it's supported in the main menu, in gnome-shell, gnome-do, etc etc.

It is only used by gnome-panel basically.  As a legacy.  gnome-shell uses Name.
