Description Jim Louvau 2010-03-28 20:11:01 UTC
When I open an image with gThumb on any gvfs mount (smb and ssh tested) I get nothing but a white page (blank, no image, no errors).

However, if I then switch to folder view, I can see every image in the gvfs folder as a thumbnail just fine. If I double-click any image to see it as a single/normal view, all I get is a blank again. If I left-click and use the context menu to do an "open with" something like image viewer, it opens the remote picture just fine.

I noticed that there was a bug filed against this same behavior in Ubuntu Launchpad back in 2007, so this may be a regression.

I did not (and do not) have this issue on machines running Karmic using 2.10.x. I'm seeing it on every machine (2 + 1 VM) running 2.11.x from Lucid. The Lucid boxes were fresh installs, not upgrades so I doubt it's a leftover config issue.

I believe this is fixed in the current git version. Works for me.

Please re-open if this problem still occurs when 2.11.3 is released.
