Last modified: 2011-02-13 22:07:50 UTC
Created attachment 147477 [details] ekiga -d 4 output while trying to call There was a fix commited to have ekiga 3.0 working with SIP service of freephonie.net and it does not seem to work with Version : 3.2.5-1ubuntu1 (standard version of karmic) It simply say that the contact is not reachable. It is my first bug report so, please telle me if you need more debug. Thanks
Hi, This is a known issue. You can still use freephonie by checking off all the video codecs.
I'm sorry. Someone posted the workaround few minutes after filling this bug : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=3059743#p3059743 Anyway, Thanks.
I can`t call any phone being logged in voipcheap.com account, until all theese video codecs in the preferences are swithed off. It`s not very usable when using more than one accounts.
Created attachment 168496 [details] The debug 4 log of the call to the cellphone througth voipcheap.com provider, with video codecs switched on. archlinux 64-bit, kernel 2.6.34-pf7, ekiga 3.2.7
This is related to the message http://mail.gnome.org/archives/ekiga-list/2009-March/msg00271.html I don't know if this bug is a result of this message, but if not, it shouldbe marked as a duplicate.
That Web page is an e-mail, not a bug report. So it cannot be marked. I think it is the same issue.
This works now. Tested with 3.2.7 and 3.3.0. It seems that free changed their server to accept the call even if video codecs are on.
