GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 600163
HTML export makes no attempt to render text styled as strikethrough as such
Last modified: 2009-10-31 21:51:45 UTC
Created attachment 146594 [details] gnumeric strikethrough test doc It seems to me that if text is styled as strikethrough, the export function should at least give rendering the strikethrough text as such a shot... perhaps just adding 'text-decoration: line-through;' to the style attribute of the HTML element corresponding to the cell contents to be rendered with 'strikethrough' style. Steps: - open attached file - save as HTML 4.0 - use your favorite browser to contrast the rendering of the file produced by gnumeric with the beauty of the same markup when the CSS text-decoration property is specified appropriately

hmm, current Gnumeric seems to mark that strike through text as superscript. There seems to be a typo involved. Which exact version of Gnumeric are you using?
I see what's going on. There seems to be a piece of code missing in thew case that the formatting is aplied to the whole cell. I'll fix it later this weekend.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report. The fix will be in 1.9.15.
