GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 596240
Support X-GNOME-FullName
Last modified: 2009-09-25 20:35:46 UTC
F-spot should support X-GNOME-FullName in it's .desktop files: Name=F-Spot Photo Manager => Name=F-Spot GenericName=Photo Manager and a new key: X-GNOME-FullName=F-Spot Photo Manager

fixed in the stable branch as it does not require any new translation. commit 3774261b541db2540abaa1d699b44228cfa12e53 Author: Stephane Delcroix <stephane@delcroix.org> Date: Fri Sep 25 10:23:22 2009 +0200 Support X-GNOME-FullName in .desktop files Fixes bgo #596240
>> as it does not require any new translation Note that it does "break" < 2.28 menus, as only the latest gnome-panel can deal with X-GNOME-FullName. So this may cause problems for distributions with GNOME 2.26 which update F-spot (openSUSE 11.1?)
it's a bit late to tell... I'll make a conditional for gnome <2.28. or you can do it too, patches are welcome
