GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 594529
upnp share doesn't show up on the client-side
Last modified: 2011-09-11 09:47:20 UTC
I have 0.12.4 on the server-side, 0.12.3 on the client-side, both have the upnp plugin enabled. But there is no visible sign of a share on the client side.
Could you please launch: COHERENCE_DEBUG=*:4 rhythmbox on both the client and server sides and upload the logs here? Would also be nice to check whether the Rhythmbox share is visible from other apps, such as Totem's UPNP plugin (totem-upnp in Fedora, IIRC)
Not working for me either. Having three instances of Rhythmbox (`laptop`, `desktop` and KVM in `desktop`). All of them running at the same time, I don't see any of the Rhythmbox instances picked up some UPNP share. Logs follow.

Oh, yeah, and totem-upnp is not working for me either.
Created attachment 146448 [details] rhythmbox no totem or nokia n82 visible I guess I'm having the same problem. The Rhythmbox share is not visible in Totem, and vice versa. My Nokia N82 is however visible in Totem, but not in Rhythmbox. I'm attaching a debug log.
Reopening as per last comments.
Same here, rhythmbox 0.12.8 on Debian sid. Rhytmbox neither detects UPNP shares nor does it export any shares. It is not visible for other apps (totem, foobar2000 with UPNP plugin), nor does it see them.

this actually works reliably with gupnp via rygel and grilo
