Description Andreas J. Guelzow 2009-09-03 19:04:11 UTC
If we open the file of bug 593937 in gnuemric , the chart (XLSurfacePlot) is a single surface chart composed of several series. One should be able to add another series to that plot.

Note that I suspect this problem to be a consequence of the "fix" to 591478 where the addition of series was prohibited for a different type of surface plot, where another series would have created anotehr surface.
Comment 1 Jean Bréfort 2009-09-03 19:14:41 UTC
We do not really support this plot type, it is just there to enable excel surface plots import.
Comment 2 Andreas J. Guelzow 2009-09-03 20:40:00 UTC
When a user imports a file and sees the chart, they may want to edit it. So we either need a way to convert it to a supproted type or allow them to edit the current chart.

The current ODF 1.2 chart describes a surfdace chart type that seems to correspond to XLSurfacePlot so we might get that type from ODF files too. (In ODF 1.1 the description could be interpreted in the sense of XLSurfacePlot or GogSurfacePlot, it is not clear what the TC intended.)
Comment 3 Jean Bréfort 2009-09-04 06:50:35 UTC
Fixed for both contours and surfaces.
