Description tomw 2009-08-27 09:21:18 UTC
Hi,

after updating gst-python to 0.10.16 I'm getting the following error message and totem-gstreamer stops. Reverting back to 0.10.13 fixed the issue.

totem-gstreamer: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol: gst_task_pool_get_type

cheers,

tomw

This looks like you're trying to run gst-python 0.10.16 with gstreamer 0.10.23 or older. You need to have gstreamer 0.10.24 installed.

You should file a bug against your distribution if you updated gst-python from their packages.
