Description Yves-Alexis Perez 2009-08-24 17:27:37 UTC
Hi,

on evolution 2.27.90 and 2.27.91 Evolution completely ignores signature settings and reset then to “none”. When re-setting them it works during the current session, but as soon as evolution is shut down (even without stopping eds), it's forgotten the next time evo is started.

Downstream bug from Debian can be found at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543204 and I can reproduce it too.

Thanks,

Please elaborate on what you mean by "signature settings" and include steps to reproduce the problem.

Ok. In Edit/Preferences/Mail Accounts, when I edit one existing account, I can select the signature associated.

With 2.27.9{0,1}, at start, the selected signature is always “None”. I set it to the correct one (created a long time ago), and it works for the rest of evolution lifetime.

When I quit evolution, and restart it, the selected signature is reset to “None”.

Cheers,

I'm seeing this in Rawhide too, Matthew. All my various accounts have default sigs assigned to them, but when I create a mail as any of the accounts it defaults to None for the signature. Rather annoying.
