GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 592225
Cannot run conary updateall
Last modified: 2010-03-17 06:09:35 UTC
Base image: gnome-2.27.20090727-x86.vmware.tar.gz When running sudo conary updateall I get: The following dependencies would not be met after this update: epiphany:devellib=090817+r74be-1-1 (Updated from 090812+r4829-1-1) requires: trove: WebKit:devel which was provided by: WebKit:devel=1.1.10-0.1-1 (Erased) gnome-do:lib=0.8.1.3-0.4-1 (Already Installed) requires: CIL: Gnome.Keyring(1.0.0.0) CIL: notify-sharp(0.4.0.0) which was provided by: gnome-keyring-sharp:cil=r87622-0.2-2 (Erased) or notify-sharp:cil=0.4.0-0.5-2 (Erased) bzr:python=1.17-1-1 (Already Installed) requires: python: tests(2.6 lib) which was provided by: python-cssutils:python=0.9.6b1-1-1 (Erased) this is there for a week now...
We are currently on it and hope it can be fixed soon. Thanks for the report!
Hi Zhang, I'm using Gnome Developer Kit DVD1 iso and the last status is here: [gokmen@localhost ~]$ sudo conary updateall [sudo] password for gokmen: The following dependencies would not be met after this update: epiphany:devellib=090819+red61-1-1 (Updated from 090727+r5f3e-1-1) requires: trove: WebKit:devel which was provided by: WebKit:devel=1.1.10-0.1-1 (Erased) Good days =)
Hi, could you try sudo conary updateall --config 'excludeTroves []' ?
It works. Thanks.
It works. But isn't this just a workaround?
Yes. But honestly I am not expert at conary and I don't know how it became that... Anyway it shouldn't bring disturb to the system, and updateall's have all worked well thereafter here. The cause is most likely that, we have epiphany (and a new webkit which it depends on) from the dev kit's repo, and at the same time, some other packages from foresight's repo (and together with an older webkit). So some mess resulted.
updateall should have been working. Anyway, :devel/:devellib troves have been removed from default install.
