Description Diego Escalante Urrelo (not reading bugmail) 2009-08-11 00:54:16 UTC
I'm asked by gnome-keyring if I want to allow access to the secrets related to passwords stored by epiphany, but it asks me for each one.
My epiphany-gecko has A LOT of remembered passwords, it's not hard to imagine achieving the same in -webkit. The authorization should be given to the whole list (per usage though). So I'm asked each time I open the PDM dialog but not for each password.

I don't see how this is an epiphany bug, we are just using the APIs exposedby keyring. After you authenticate the first time correctly things should just work (which is what happens here fwiw).

When I first ran epiphany-webkit I got the gnome-keyring prompt a LOT of times. I didn't count them but t seemed to be once for each password stored. I just did a quick count and I currently have 80 on this computer. :)

When I upgrade my other computer to 2.28 I'll see if this happens again and try to provide more info.

Note that the whitelist patch in bug#602914 hides this problem under the carpet.

Diego, is this still an issue nowadays?
