Sorry I am on holiday at the moment, and mostly disconnected from IRC, could you paste relevant bits from the IRC discussion? As the bug has been left open, what kind of patch would you like now? Thanks.
It was discussed many months ago on IRC, so I don't have the logs. My point was that Totem isn't a brand, it's the default Movie player for GNOME and is shown as such in the UI. I also disagree with the branding of gedit, and other "basic" applications in the GNOME desktop.
