Description Claude Paroz 2009-07-18 14:24:49 UTC
"Fly score increment (words!)"...
Do you really think that any mere mortal user will be able to understand the effect of this setting? OK, she can always try and see. But for us, poor translators, could you put a comment in the ui file so as we can try to translate it in a sensible way? Would be very appreciated.
Comment 1 Tim Horton 2009-07-18 20:34:34 UTC
Um. No. How do I mark something as "please don't translate this yet, I don't know what to call it!"?
Comment 2 Claude Paroz 2009-07-18 21:01:06 UTC
Hey :-)
You can still add a comment (e.g. comment="Translators: this string will be clarified before release") to the label property tag. Or simply set the translatable attribute to "no", but I'd rather use the comment.
Comment 3 Tim Horton 2009-07-18 21:16:00 UTC
Thanks for your other commits, by the way :-) I'm still just barely figuring out what's up with i18n stuff...

I just removed that option, I'll merge its functionality in with the "zealous animation" one, as there's really no reason to have both...

Thanks, and sorry for making your work harder than it should be!
Comment 4 Claude Paroz 2009-07-18 21:56:13 UTC
I know i18n is not the first thrilling issue that developers like to address :-) But thanks to the GNOME ecosystem, we can learn from each other in various domains.
Thanks for fixing this.
