Description Dmitry G. Mastrukov 2001-08-09 18:23:02 UTC
I've compiled Mozilla 0.9.3 and Galeon 0.12pre1. Next I import bookmarks
from Mozilla. Nonascii symbols are shown as utf8 strings in bookmarks.
Comment 1 Yanko Kaneti 2001-08-09 21:52:24 UTC
yep, we share code for importing both ntscape and mozilla bookmarks
but obviously mozilla keeps them as utf8 and netscape not

I guess the problem is the opposite in cvs, mozilla bookmarks should
work correctly but not netscape.
The right way to fix this seems to use libxml (or xslt would be better
again) to parse the file.
This is going to conflict with the freeze I see, do we want it anyway
in 1.0 ?

Ric, any comment ?
Comment 4 Yanko Kaneti 2001-09-08 09:48:13 UTC
having a broken netscape bookmarks in 1.0 is not an option imho
Comment 5 Yanko Kaneti 2001-09-08 09:49:17 UTC
i should have said "broken netscape import", but my mind failed in the
middle ;)
Comment 6 Yanko Kaneti 2001-09-15 10:21:05 UTC
