Description Patrick OCallaghan 2009-07-02 13:42:41 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When looking at a subset of messages, I sometimes want to see a message in its thread context, so I widen the subset to show the entire folder. This often causes the message list pane to relocate to the top of the folder, losing visual focus on the selected message. For large folders it can be very difficult to find the selected message again.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select Unread Messages
2. Select a specific message using the mouse
3. Change to All Messages

OR

1. Use the Search box to select a subset of messages
2. Select a specific message using the mouse
3. Reset the Search box

Actual results:
The selected message is no longer visible in the list pane, even though the message is still selected and the preview is in the preview pane. The pane is instead relocated to the beginning of the folder.

Expected results:
The selected message should always be within the list pane.

Does this happen every time?
Seems to happen all the time. For large folders it's a real problem.

Other information:
Evo should either a) guarantee that the selected message is *always* in the list pane, no matter what, or b) offer a keyboard option to re-center the list pane around the selected message.

Cannot reproduce with a local folder after testing a few times. Is this still an issue?

It appears to have been fixed, thanks.
