It would be amazing to handle eog by remote control device (irda, bluetooth, ...)

Well, bluetooth works already here using the "Desktop" remote profile on my phone (mapping the left+right keys).

Don't know about irda, as I was unable to get my Thinkpad's infrared port working on linux. So I'm unlikely able to help here.

You can still use irxevent to control pretty much any X application. Sometimes it is difficult because you don't have window name, in such case use CurrentWindow..
