Description Emilio Pozuelo Monfort 2009-06-27 14:09:40 UTC
Hi,

Since most desktop environments have their own terminal emulators, I wonder whether gnome-terminal should have OnlyShowIn: GNOME in its desktop file, as we do with many GNOME components.

Which apps in the desktop suite [http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyseven/Desktop] set the show-only-in-GNOME key?

gnome-screensaver and vino do
gnome-utils (all the utils) and gcalctool has NotShowIn=KDE

OTOH, neither konsole nor xfce terminal have OnlyShowIn.

I think OnlyShowIn is useful when you install another DE. It's not when you install only an app. So I guess this is tricky :)

Not going to happen.
