Description Neil Munro 2009-06-25 18:13:32 UTC
Binary package hint: banshee

It would be nice if there was an option to pause playback on the screen saver locking.

I'd expect that there would be some cases where this would not be desirable, but in my case if I'm not in front of the screen I'm not listening to media. My usual experience is:

 * sit at desk with headphones on, playing media
 * if I need to leave my desk, hit a button to activate the screen lock
 * then realise that media is still playing so unlock the screen
 * activate the pause feature in the media player
 * lock screen again

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
