Description Emilio Pozuelo Monfort 2009-06-23 11:09:30 UTC
[ Forwarded from http://bugs.debian.org/533909 ]

On the Debian bug report, it's asked to allow to connect to localhost with the following syntax:

vinagre :1
vinagre :5900

That is, if only a port is provided, and no hostname/ip address, assume it's localhost.

It's argued that other clients, like xvncviewer, provide that functionality.
Comment 1 Emilio Pozuelo Monfort 2009-06-23 11:12:39 UTC
That would be xtightvncviewer, sorry. Also the syntax there is

::1

for the port and

:1

for the display

In any case the request is to make hostname/ip address optional.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
