Description Riccardo Magliocchetti 2009-06-20 22:13:58 UTC
Please describe the problem:
First of all the movie is a comedy from kevin smith so nothing hardcore but still the trailer is classified as redband.

The greenband gives 403 Forbidden so didn't have many choices :)

Distribution is up to date debian sid.

Steps to reproduce:
1. totem http://s3.amazonaws.com/media.zackandmiri.com/redband.mov

Actual results:
gstffmpegdec.c(1150): gst_ffmpegdec_negotiate (): /GstPlayBin:play/GstDecodeBin:decodebin0/ffdec_svq3:ffdec_svq30:
could not find caps for codec (svq3), unknown type

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Seems to play fine with the git version for me, even though playback feels a bit jerky and the audio out of sync at times.
Comment 2 Wim Taymans 2009-06-22 09:33:11 UTC
Plays fine for me.

There is a little 33ms sync offset when ffmpeg has to switch to DTS timestamping. From then on timestamps seems to be perfect.
Comment 3 Riccardo Magliocchetti 2009-06-22 10:07:16 UTC
So this is already fixed in git, nice. It's up to you to just close this or wait for me to check with 0.10.8 when it's released. Thanks.

I've done a couple of more tests. gst-ffmpeg 0.10.7.2 does not play it but ffplay works fine.
Comment 4 Edward Hervey 2009-06-27 12:10:29 UTC
works fine with git (and 0.10.7.2).
