Description Pedro Villavicencio 2009-06-18 15:47:02 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/334201

"Sometimes it happens you have some contacts (ex. MSN) that don't have you. Would it be nice to have some kind of "re-authorize request" entry in the right-click menu?"

Thanks,

I asked reporter if any other IM client support such feature the reply was

"Pidgin has the "has you" thing, but It doesn't show you a "re-authorize" option for the buddies with "Has you" set to "No".

I think I used meebo to ask authorizations.. but I'm not sure, it was long ago."

Pidgin has this feature (Rightclick>Unsubscribe and Rightclick>Ask for (Re)Authorization). With the current migration from @googlemail to @gmail in germany, every non-google jabber contact needs re-authorization. Which means in empathy deleting them completely and manually adding them again.
