GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 584829
empathy crashed while trying to initiate video/voice call
Last modified: 2010-01-06 11:11:13 UTC
Original report: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/354840 1) Jaunty Jackalope 2) empathy 2.26 3) Voice connection is either established, or if there is a reason why not, then rejected with said reason displayed. 4) Crashed (hangs for a few seconds, pegging the CPU) while trying to contact a GTalk friend, who was using the standard windows client. See: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24783069/Stacktrace.txt From reading the trace, I'd say empathy_call_window_bus_message () is called by GStreamer after the EmpathyCallWindow has been destroyed.
Most of the VoIP code as changed since 2.26. Could you retry using git master or the soon to be released 2.27.91 please?
Tried with 2.27.91 on both ends, one in a virtual machine, and one way or another it doesn't work/doesn't react/crashes.
Works for me now; at least it does with 2.28.x, and 2.29 up to 2.29.2, but it broke again in 2.29.4 due to bug #605549
Closing as a dup of bug #605549 then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 605549 ***
