Description Ed Bradburn 2009-06-02 09:40:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have followed the instructions but cannot set up my German bank account online via HBCI.

This account is working perfectly in the commercial Moneyplex program, also using HBCI PIN/TAN.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start aqBanking. Select "Setup PIN/TAN"
2. Enter bank code, server, user name and ID
3. Get SSL cert (OK), accept "Permanently"
4. Request System ID. Enter PIN when prompted

Actual results:
You get "Result: failed".

Expected results:
I would expect it to work.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, perfectly reproducible.

Other information:
Following might be useful:

a) Sometimes AqBanking also crashes after Step 4. But not always.
b) For "user ID" I use my bank account number. For "password" I use my online PIN. This is exactly what I do with Moneyplex, and it works.
c) My bank is Haspa: www.haspa.de.

One thing that might be preventing this working is if Haspa requires the use of an initial TAN to set up the online account. Since AqBanking doesn't ask for this, this might be the problem.

If you need any log files, please tell me where to look!

Just remembered to point out: all of this is on Windows XP SP 3!
Comment 2 Ed Bradburn 2009-06-02 09:43:11 UTC
Another potentially interesting dependency: I'm running Nokia Qt 4.5.1 Open Source.
Comment 3 Reinhard Hahn 2009-11-15 17:01:54 UTC
I get the Same problem with the following configuration:

gnuCash version 2.3.7 (Rev 18372 2009-10-06)
(aqhbci Version 4.1.7 Martin Preuss)
OS: windows XP Pro SP3

bank account at BBBank

There is an additional logging Window with the Title "Retrieving System Id" with the content as shown below.

Another thing that might be interesting: On the backends tab of the wizard, both backends aqhbci and aqofxconnect are displayed twice. Also I had to workaround the reported bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=586122 by copying the directory '29' to '16'.

Comment 4 Reinhard Hahn 2009-12-13 14:16:32 UTC
With gnuCash version 2.3.8
including
 gwenhywfar: 3.11.1.0
 aqhbci: 4.1.8.0stable
it works, although after some trials with some connection problems of which I do not really know, whether the reason has been on the banking server side.

Of course I don't know whether Ed's problem will be solved with that release, as well. Will you give it a try?
Comment 5 Andreas Köhler 2010-02-03 02:56:17 UTC
Ed, would you please give it a try (cf. comment 4)?
