GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 58451
GnoRPM Upgrade button broken for DND'd rpms to main window
Last modified: 2012-02-19 16:33:12 UTC
Note: This bug was moved here from the Red Hat bugtracker at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21383 I was able to reproduce it in 0.96 too. Opened by eem12@cornell.edu 2000-11-27 01:24:11 If an RPM is dragged from gmc into gnorpm, the Upgrade button doesn't do anything. The Install button works as expected (it brings up a list of conflicts that would arise from the attempted install.) Additional comment by notting@redhat.com 2000-11-27 17:16:00 Is this with the errata gnorpm? Additional comment by eem12@cornell.edu 2000-11-27 20:56:52 $ rpm -q gnorpm gnorpm-0.95.1-5 $ Additional comment by eem12@cornell.edu 2001-01-19 17:03:20 It seems that the Upgrade button does work properly if RPMs are dragged into an already-opened Install window. By habit, I drag them into the main window, which creates a new Install window with a broken Upgrade button.
According to http://www.jamesh.id.au/software/gnorpm/ this application is unmaintained since 1999. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
