Description Kamil Páral 2009-05-29 17:55:17 UTC
When I hit F5 to refresh desktop it sometimes hangs (there's busy mouse icon for a long time) and some file is not displayed. The only solution is to open Desktop folder in Nautilus manager. After that desktop refreshing is complete.

It happens only occasionally and not specifically to some file type (although I think it may happen for files which require thumbnailing). Also the particular file may sometimes participate in the hang (dissappear) and sometimes not.

Please watch the demonstration video in the attachment. The audio file dissappeared only once, the pdf always. Clicking on desktop folder solves the problem. Having the desktop folder open also solves the problem and the refresh is much faster.

Kamil, do you still have this problem and if so, do you have the file that won't create a thumbnail and possibly attach it to this bugreport?

No, I couldn't recreate the problem using Nautilus 2.30.1 and exactly the same files. Marking as fixed.
