Description gianpaolo.racca 2009-05-28 12:57:41 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If I download from rapidshare (as free user or premium user) the download starts, it arrives at 100% (and if I use the file from /tmp the file is complete) but the download never finishes and the file remains in /tmp with random name.

Steps to reproduce:
1. go to http://rapidshare.com/files/159759107/ebook.Ubuntu_Covers_Ubuntu_8.04_Complete_Reference.0071598464.zip (don't know if it's copyright protected... I just found it on google
2. download it and wait
3. the download never ends

Confirmed, I'm also seeing this on downloads from my Gmail account.
Comment 2 Fabio Durán Verdugo 2009-05-28 14:59:54 UTC
i can't confirmed, because i download 100% this file without problem. and another files the other server too without problem, example gmail.

My version is 2.26.1
Ubuntu Jaunty.

problems could be of service or Internet download servers

check the preferences... General -> Download...

Comment 4 gianpaolo.racca 2009-05-28 18:11:47 UTC
Ok. Thanks. For some reason it lost the previous setting for download folder. Now it works!

Of course, that's what I was talking about. The chosen download folder is being reset to / each time.

This heapens just for download path reason. In Preferences "/", but downloadnig is processing to "/tmp". Epiphany do not remember download path choise. From 2.26.0 up to 2.26.2.
Comment 7 André Klapper 2009-06-22 22:45:13 UTC
If / is in the preferences something is wrong anyway.
/ is never ever a place where a user should be allowed to write to.
