Description David 2009-05-15 12:02:48 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'm in karmic and I see that the gnome-power-preferences dialog shows the wrong time in "put display to sleep when inactive for:"
it's possible to see that the minimum value is 6 minutes, while this results in the value of 60 (seconds) in the corresponding gconf key.
Also the default value for AC is 35 minutes, which results in 1800 seconds (30 minutes).

So the conclusion is that the time shown must be being reduced by 5 minutes

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open gnome-power-preferences
2. Set "Put display after inactive for" to 6 mins
3. Wait one minute

Actual results:
The display is put to sleep

Expected results:
Another 5 minutes should pass before the display goes to sleep

Does this happen every time?
Yes
