GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 581804
netspeed applet no longer allows to set font size
Last modified: 2020-11-07 12:26:30 UTC
up until Ubuntu Karmic (netspeed v 0.14.x), netspeed allowed to change font size. Now (v0.15.x) it doesnt. For me, the system font is too big for this applet. System font is just too big... the option should be re-enabled to allow changing it... thanks
Yup, definitely a regression. Another bug was filed earlier about it: bug #562780
I have the same problem with netspeed 0.15.2 in Ubuntu 9.10. The font size option is missing and the default size consumes too much panel space

The Netspeed applet was merged into gnome-applets as a component. Existing open bugs, such as this one, are moved to the gnome-applets netspeed component. This separate netspeed module will be closed for new bug entry and archived. Sorry for the noise.
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years. If you still use gnome-applets and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-applets/-/issues/ Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
