Description Daniel Qarras 2009-04-22 19:15:00 UTC
[Not quite sure is the correct component so please reroute if needed.]

It would be nice if gnome-phone-manager could some day download all SMS
messages from a phone, store them on the computer, and then later upload them
to a phone. This would be helpful when migrating from an old phone to a new
one.

Phone numbers can be transferred with SIM card so up/downloading them is not
that necessary but that would be nice feature, too.

Nokia PC Suite can do this and xgnokii also seems to capable of doing that.

gnome-phone-manager is not under active development anymore since 2013.
Its codebase has been archived:

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
