Description Daniel Qarras 2009-04-18 17:45:51 UTC
When connecting a device in CDROM mode with USB cable a pop-up window is presented:

"
This medium contains software intended to be automatically started. Would you like to run it?

The software will run directly from the medium "CDROM". You should never run software that you don't trust.

If in doubt, press Cancel.
"

When hitting Run an error window appears:

"
Error autorunning software

Cannot find the autorun program
"

When one studies the contents of the devices there is autorun.inf which points to Windows executable in the same directory. No binaries that could be run on non-Windows hosts are available.

I think GNOME could check whether the file pointed by autorun.inf a) exists and b) can be run. Current behaviour is not very smooth user experience.
