GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 579190
bad resize on paste for wrapping style
Last modified: 2018-04-21 21:44:28 UTC
The following was originally reported as http://bugs.debian.org/523082 and is reproducible for me with a recent svn trunk build. Package: gnumeric Version: 1.9.4-1 Severity: normal To reproduce: - open a new sheet - select row 1 - apply the "wrap text" format to it - in A1 write "aaa" - select A1 and copy - in B1 write "aaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbb": the rwo height adapts to accommodate two lines of text - select C1 and paste After the last step, the row height is reduced to one line of text. This is wrong, as cell B1 contains two lines of text. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=it_IT@euro (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnumeric depends on: ii debconf [debc 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii gnumeric-comm 1.9.4-1 spreadsheet application for GNOME ii gsfonts 1:8.11+urwcyr1.0.7~pre44-4 Fonts for the Ghostscript interpre ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.9-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.8.6-2+b1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libglade2-0 1:2.6.3-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.0-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgoffice-0- 0.7.3-1 Document centric objects library - ii libgsf-1-114 1.14.11-2 Structured File Library - runtime ii libgtk2.0-0 2.14.7-5 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.22.4-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libxml2 2.7.3.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii procps 1:3.2.7-11 /proc file system utilities ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages gnumeric recommends: ii evince [evince-gtk] 2.24.2-2 Document (postscript, pdf) viewer Versions of packages gnumeric suggests: ii epiphany-browser 2.22.3-9 Intuitive web browser - dummy pack ii gnumeric-doc 1.9.4-1 spreadsheet application for GNOME ii gnumeric-plugins-extra 1.9.4-1 spreadsheet application for GNOME ii ttf-liberation 1.04.93-1 Free fonts with the same metrics a ii ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.0 Installer for Microsoft TrueType c -- debconf information: gnumeric/existing-process: false
Well, the reporter of bug 121722 ont he other hand would seem to demand the current behaviour.
This seems to have gotten fixed in the meantime. This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.
