GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 577333
The calendar doesn't work at all with evolution-mapi
Last modified: 2009-08-19 08:11:09 UTC
My calendar doesn't work at all. It is detected and I can see it but I can't add anything to it nor can I see any entries. Could it be that evo-mapi looks for Calendar but mine is named Kalender (Swedish)? exchange-mapi-connection.c:2222: Entering exchange_mapi_set_flags libexchangemapi-Message: exchange-mapi-connection.c:2224: exchan ge_mapi_set_flags: lock(connect_lock) <snip> |---+ Kalender : (Container class: IPF.Appointment 08D926A615000001) UnRead : 0 Total : 228 <snip> libexchangemapi-Message: exchange-mapi-connection.c:2739: exchange_mapi_get_folders_list: unlock(connect_lock)
> Could it be that evo-mapi looks for Calendar but mine is named Kalender? Well, does it work in English?
I don't know, I don't have a English Exchange system to connect to.
I meant "start Evolution or your entire session in English". :) It's two commands in a terminal window: LANG=en_US.utf8 evolution
Oh.. I already run my entire session in english (LANG=en_DK.UTF-8). The only thing that is Swedish is the names of the resources in Exchange.
I haven't had a chance to dive into debugging it at all, but I run server and client side in US English and I also was unable to see any events in my calendar (although the calendar itself is listed as detected). I am running Fedora 11 Preview Release.
Can you please start evolution in a console and post the messages printed there ? TIA.

I just tried but now I see my calendar. I can also add entries to it and verified that the entries also showed up when viewing the calendar in Outlook. Don't really know what has changed since, it's been a long time...
