Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://projects.gnome.org/totem/#bugs for more information on how to do so and reopen this bug or report a new one. Thanks in advance!

running gst-launch-0.10 results in the same crash.

these stack traces do have symbols ... or do i miss something?

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

This should be fixed in gst-plugins-bad 0.10.11 which is due to be released at the end of the week.
