GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 575789
Log Files not cleared using preference setting
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:19:35 UTC
Please describe the problem: General Preferences includes a setting to Retain Log Files for xx days. Under Mac OS X, this setting doesn't seem to have any effect, as log files are never deleted by the software. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set the preference to a value (e.g. 30 days) 2. Use the program repeatedly, up to and beyond the time period specified 3. See that log files more than the value selected are still in the system Actual results: Log files accumulate until user action at the OS level is taken. Expected results: Log files older than the number of days specified will get removed from the OS. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
