GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 575549
Banshee Mockup - Brainstorm
Last modified: 2020-03-17 08:19:52 UTC
In this mockup I have tried to showcase new features such as music file tagging and importing those tags from last.fm, song timeline which allows us to see the distribution off the songs according to the time tracks are published, useful for finding those songs you have from 80s. Also the ability to fetch data from wikipedia, youtube and lyrics in a new tabbed design.

My personal opinion is that you're making Banshee a music-copy of F-Spot, without a reason. Uh, clutter UI, duplicated functionality (cover in two places?). Some ideas like tabbed context pane are already in 1.5.0 but don't expect Banshee to embed Flash Player (can't imagine the CPU and RAM usage) ^^ .
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
