gnome-session-save with no parameter should save current session

Please describe the problem: gnome-session-save used to save running applications in the session to session file, it is no longer does that. While gnome-sesssion-save does provide othe ruseful option. The default option can be useful when some system want to do some scripting. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Attached a patch to do that.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).
