Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Network Manager
2. Unlock the manager (su)
3. Save a Location Name
Crash boom game over.  Log shows :

Sorry, I've fixed that stupid bug back in July, and it's already in Karmic for some time. It was pushed as commit 8d15bceb175e0e99825d9a5ca2884b42a3746915.

BTW, network-admin has nothing to do with NetworkManager. And I guess the way forward is to switch to the latter as soon as it provides the features you need, since I don't expect many people to devote time to network-admin now...
